Welcome to The Things She Does, a podcast about women who are pursing their passion and making it work! Each week I interview a woman who is pursuing her passion and we talk about how she got started, what her life looks like, how she makes it work, and what she specifically does NOT do in order to have time for her passion.
I believe that every woman should have a passion she pursues, whether that is 2 hours a week as a hobby, or a full time job. We often look at other women and think they are doing it all, but the truth is they are just like us. They prioritize, they struggle, they say no to some things so they can say yes to others, and they figure out a way to make it work.
When I was going through graduate school I often had people ask me how I did it all. I always made it very clear that I was NOT doing it all – I had help. I also had a passion for health which pushed me through the hard days and helped me to prioritize and make it work.
My goal with this podcast is to inspire and encourage women to pursue their passion. The journey is not always easy, but it is always worth it! I believe that women who have a passion in their life are happier and more fulfilled, which helps them to be better moms, wives and friends.

A little bit about me: I am a wife, mom of two (7 and 2 years old), and a cardiology nurse practitioner. When my son was 3 months old I started my Masters of Nursing a the University of Washington. Four years later I completed my Doctorate of Nursing practice while 5 months pregnant with my daughter. I am passionate about health and being active, as well as helping women to reach their potential and pursue their passion. I love weight lifting and walking and enjoy running (I’m trying to love it, but so far it is only enjoyment). I love traveling, hosting football parties, cooking, reading and wine.
